A New Comfort Level

Prior to this morning, when bald eagles perched in our trees they tended to promptly take flight when I attempted to photograph them, unless I was very stealthy. Early today, as the clouds were moving in, this bald eagle tolerated me walking around the yard as I positioned myself to compose an image where at least part of the sky was blue, rather than all gray/white. There was no hiding on my part. The eagle glanced at me every now and then, but otherwise scanned the landscape from its elevated perch as I wandered the yard. What fun!!!

(The white behind the bird was a cloud. The various parts of the composition moved into place as I had my camera to my eye.)

Thanks Kristy for noticing!
