So Many Coats

Following a “catch-up” conversation/lunch at Culver’s this afternoon with my other brother Darrell and my buddy Buttercup, I spent the remainder of the afternoon on a brisk winter photo shoot at Dunning’s Spring in Decorah. With a high temperature of 3-degrees (F) and a slight breeze, conditions were such that no chances were taken as far as the winter weather was considered. I wore layers of insulating gear and really stayed quite warm.

Often when I visit Dunning’s Spring I shoot many wide angle views of the landscape. Today though, I did shoot a few but most of my images were of a closer perspective. I am not sure why my interest today was more refined rather than a broad view, but the resulting images seemed to work.

I will share with you some of my favorite photos from the winter trek. Hopefully you will see something you enjoy too.
