Restorative Qualities of the River

Today was a most interesting day where I began on the river, took an urgent break from the river for an ambulance call, then eventually returned to the river to enjoy our beautiful day and evening. Even with the moments of stress to be an EMS responder, I am still a better man tonight after relaxing with my Nikon, my canoe, and the river. The Wapsipinicon does that for me. Other rivers do too, but the Wapsie really seems like home.

Rather than go on and on to describe how nice the day was, I will instead share some images recorded today. In today’s case, these photos really are worth many, many words. It was beautiful on the water!
