My Ride for Tonight – Version 2
Yesterday’s post and photo featured my Old Town Discovery 119 Sportsman canoe along the Wapsipinicon River. Tonight’s post will have the same theme but a different canoe.
After a concerning trip to Rochester today, I needed some quiet time on the water to get my thoughts in order for a happy-medium mood. The prescription for that was to grab my favorite canoe – assuming I am not going to scuff over ANYTHING…my Old Town Pack – Angler Edition canoe.
This sweet canoe has been out of production for years due to the loss of Royalex – the material the canoe is made of. My canoe weighs only 33-pounds, paddles easy, is stable, does not track so good, and flexes with the water. Even though Royalex is supposed to be a tough product, I want to minimize the scuffs on the canoe. As a result, this canoe is only paddled where I won’t hit anything.
If anyone has an Old Town Pack canoe they would like to rehome (at a fair cost), I would gladly consider it and would appreciate being contacted. Send me an email, text, or message me on Facebook. Thanks!
