My Ride for Tonight

Pardon the scum line from river water, but this was my ride for tonight.

More often than not I go for a paddle on the Wapsipinicon River after work. The last few nights I have had to forgo my outing due to work commitments. Tonight details worked out and I spent time on the water until dark. It was a good outing with the feature being seeing 7 great egrets in one tree. It’s too bad it was too dark for decent images or I would be sharing them here. Instead, I will show you my ride.

My Old Town Discovery 119 Sportsman is not the fastest canoe on the water, or the lightest, or the best tracking, but it does provide for a comfortable paddle and is ideal for the Wapsie.
