Almost Ready

If I had a moisture content meter I might be able tell how much longer we will have soybeans in the pods, on the stalks, surrounding the house. In only a few days all green has left the soybean fields, replaced by hairy, tan soybean pods just about ready for harvest. I suppose with a likelihood of frost in the next few days, what I am seeing should be expected. It won’t be long now and harvest will be in full swing everywhere, instead of just a few fields.
