A Canoe and a Camera - Wapsipinicon River - Frederika

After a terrible night of sleep (if you call it that - multiple phone calls and acorns falling on the roof troubling the dog), I finally got up for a while to photograph the evening sky over the river. Just a few hours later I finally got up and stayed up. Since I was awake so early, I thought I might as well go paddling to see what I might find and photograph leftover wildlife from the evening activities.

Today my critter count wasn’t as high as some days - seeing raccoons, a warbler, and a cardinal flower. Still, the outing was enjoyable and an ideal way to start the day.
