Millions Could Be Coming Our Way

After a long, unproductive, sweaty hike at a nearby prairie today… a hike where I did not find the unusual flower I was looking for… I may have hit the jackpot. If I did, Kristy and I will not have to go to work again. Instead we will only need to run under the radar as we become renegade marijuana farmers. Let me explain.         

As I was wandering – not lost, but wandering – and trying to find my truck while walking in tall prairie and brush plants, I found marijuana plants. According to my plant ID app, this was marijuana, a plant in the hemp family. From my experience I could not tell if this was something to make ropes out of or to use in other ways, but my app said it was marijuana. Until I have a definitive answer another way, I am going with the marijuana ID and getting ready to count my riches.   

All kidding aside, I photographed a few leaves and continued to look for my truck. None of the plants were harvested and I won’t be doing anything with them, other than what I did – I shot a few pictures and am sharing them here.
