He Ran Out of Steam

My grandson had the option of going to the State Fair today or hanging with Gramps. He chose to stay with me so we kept busy.

First we went to Decorah where we met friends and reps from a public safety organization considering a drone program. Of course we put several drones in the air and my grandson was able to run the controls on mine under my supervision. I photographed this one in the air with my drone that was also in the air.

Then we went out for lunch were he somehow managed two servings of ice cream (along with his corn dog and fries).

Then we went to the trout hatchery were we saw trout from little fish to monster fish.

Then we went fishing at Lake Meyer where he caught nothing but had a great time trying.

Then we headed home and he ran out of steam as we traveled. There was little conversation… just a sleeping young fellow enjoying another day with his Gramps.

Along the shore of Lake Meyer I found some wildflowers. These made nice pictures.
