Inspired Macro Images
Unbeknownst to me a fellow emergency manager in the area is also an outdoor/wildlife photographer. Recently Jason began sharing some of his outdoor images with an emphasis on macro photos. Seeing his images was an inspiration for me to dedicate time documenting our smaller world - views most will never see since we seldom take the time to slow down and look small.
This morning I did not have enough time to get out on the water, but I did have time to wander a nearby prairie that was burned earlier this year. A variety of wildflowers were in bloom and my camera was recording images of one after another at various magnification rates. Following is a sampling of the colors, shapes, and textures all around me.

As I studied the prairie wildflowers an unusual color caught my attention. Some creative and generous person had placed this message rock under the vegetation and I managed to spot it among all of the space and color. I found the saying timing, ironic, and very correct.

Since yesterday’s post I enjoyed and photographed the never-ending shapes and patterns of a campfire. This was my most interesting image.
