Grandparents/Cousin Camp 2024

After the past few days, Kristy and I know for sure why you have kids when you are younger. Wow, “Grandparents/Cousin Camp 2024” was full of activities and good time. Joining us were our good friends Scott, Doris, and Jeni.

Kristy and I have a small camper that probably would have housed all of us. But I also enjoy tent camping and wanted to introduce our grandkids to the fun of tenting too. So we had campers and a tent to call home. And several of the boys slept both nights in the tent with me.

We hiked, we fished, we looked at animals, we cooked, we played and we slept. What a great time was had by all!!

For those wondering… we camped at the Creekside Campground (in the conifers (my favorite) at Fontana Park.

To occupy time for a while we taught some of the cousins how to conduct searches. We started with “Hasty” searches and progressed to grid searches. The kids were looking for hidden feathers around camp.
