I Had to Try It - Images From Split Times

My outdoor explorations were divided today into early and after work. The earlier pictures were of wildflowers and jumping deer.

Then tonight I finally attempted something I have wondered if I could successfully do… or not. I launched my drone from my canoe, shot some aerial photos, and then brought the drone back to the canoe where I caught it with my hand while still out on the water. I do not want to sound over-confident, but it proved to be easy.

Even though I was out on the water to learn more about drone flight, I heard and then found warblers! First I watched a pair of male American redstarts setting boundary lines.

In the same area a prothonotary warbler was flitting around. I managed to record a few images of this most pretty little bird.

Then it was time to call it a night.
