Random Finds on a Difficult Day

The healing qualities of time outdoors have never been a secret for me. Today I so needed a little time away to sort my thoughts after a difficult conversation.

A dear friend of mine is in the fight of his life. Treatment or the disease… which is worse? He is fighting and has my full support.

After learning of this situation, I needed outdoor time. The hurt and uncertainty remain, but the edge is not so sharp.

Then tonight Kristy received a similar call from an adult child of a friend. Only her call was worse for those here on Earth. Her friend’s battle has ended. Her friend’s pain is gone. For those left behind, the pain is just beginning and that pain is immense. A huge void has been left that will never be filled. She was one of a kind.

At our house we will be fine tonight if we receive no more sad calls. Two was enough.

Tonight’s photos are random finds from my outdoor time today. Like what happens sometimes in life, there is no rhyme or reason to the pictures.
