The Word For Today is “Subtle”

I had time early this morning to enjoy a short woodland walk where I looked for any new spring wildflowers. Since I was starting before the sun climbed high enough to burn through the clouds, I saw no showy blossoms. All of them were closed tight, leaving me no option but to study the more subdued spring plants - most being leaves or non-gaudy blooms.

None of the species featured today were uncommon. In fact, the woodland floor is well decorated with many of these plants. The challenge became finding the most photogenic of the masses. I was fortunate to locate many during my brief hike.

Take a look at my “Nature Rx” for the morning!
