West Ends of East Bound Deer

No matter how miserable weather conditions may be, wildlife does not have the options we enjoy- to hunker down in our warm, dry homes with food in the cupboards. Wildlife is forced to endure in rain, wind, cold, snow, and heat. Today was a good example of wildlife carrying on with life under challenging weather conditions - extreme wind and rain.

While I was out I noticed two deer feeding near the road. Or, perhaps one or both were considering running in front of me to destroy my truck. Whatever, since I noticed their very light color I stopped to photograph them. After just a few pics both deer turned and ran in a much safer direction - away from the highway. Not only did I photograph them standing and pondering, but I also captured the west ends of east-bound deer when they ran away - a sight I frequently see.
