Thanks For Taking Me For A Ride Brother Darrell
Last year some time, if my memory is correct, my “other brother Darrell” took me for a ride to a retirement party. On our way home Brother Darrell showed me a pond he and his daughter like to fish. I put that location in my failing memory bank for a special day - like today.
As I was driving home from Iowa City I decided to get off the rat-race of the four-lane highway and drove near the pond I was introduced to last year. The pond Brother Darrell enjoys fishing was not hosting any birds that I could see. However, the wetlands nearby were doing extra duty to host smaller waterfowl, larger waterfowl, and shorebirds.
Even though I should have been making my way home, I pulled out my Nikon to document a little bit of what I was seeing. The action was too much to ignore.
Thank you Brother Darrell for taking me for a ride. I am never sure of all that we might be doing or where we may go, but we somehow find something memorable. Last year’s adventure travels continued through today. Thank you so much!
