Run Rodents Run

As I watched this red-tailed hawk intently studying a grassy ditch, I was hoping a rodent would take off running (or even a snake crawl around). My hope was to watch this hawk successfully capture prey and maybe, if I was lucky, bring it back to the cross piece on this power pole for fine dining. Of course that did not happen, but I did get a good look at a very pretty bird.

On a different topic… Spring must be here. My dock is back in the water! That is a good thing!!
