Not Fit For Man, Beast, or Layla

After work today Layla and I drove around the countryside in search of scenery or wildlife suitable for photography. The wildlife was struggling for a meal while exposed to the wicked elements of cold temperatures, strong winds, and blowing snow. Any scenic type images were complicated by blowing snow and an inability to stand still long enough against the relentless wind.

Finally, the dog and I returned home without any images. That meant I needed to go out after dark to photograph our 91% waxing gibbous moon in very clear sight (no clouds in the sky). I did have to find a spot somewhat protected from the wind to make this image. (Notice the textures on the moon’s surface.) It was COLD out!

By the way…during our travels we did not find a single ground hog on this ground hog day.
