Plenty of Room For Other Photographers

Seldom do we have as many exposed rocks below the dam at Alcock Park in Frederika as we do now. If the drought has done anything somewhat good, the low water has provided ample moving water photography opportunities in locales usually submerged under water.

After work today I walked down to the dam and waded out in the river to shoot moving water photos. Other than one person walking the other shoreline, I had the entire park and river to myself. The “quiet” was so very nice… no sounds other than that of moving water and my camera shutter box. No intrusions… just me and the river.

Near the moving water I found partially frozen water holding this past year’s leaves in a state of temporary preservation. Edge detail and leaf texture were very visible.
