Sentry on Watch

Their timing could not have been more perfect! While two of our grandsons were at our house we noticed the appearance of two sentry bald eagles in our spruce trees.

To say the boys were excited would be an understatement. Even more timely was the fact that one of the grandsons joined me on Thanksgiving Day when I helped others rescue an adult bald eagle. He is now very interested in bald eagles, especially when they are close and can be watched from the window.

Both boys seem to be developing a sincere interest in wildlife and the environment. I will do what I can to nurture that passion.
