Side Glance, Interesting View

During this season of rampant autumn beauty just about everywhere we look, it is easy to become overwhelmed by the colors we see all around us. Soon we simply pass by the unusual or the stunning bright hues as they become temporarily commonplace. I too am guilty of this. There simply is not enough time to stop and appreciate each view we are provided.

As I was driving through Sweet Marsh, passing up photo opportunity after photo opportunity, I noticed this unusual composition of Virginia creeper that was side lit. The leaves had not yet turned colors and may not after tonight’s hard freeze. For whatever reason I stopped, backed up, jumped out of the Jeep, and took a few pictures. Yes I had acres and acres of reds and oranges almost burning in place with bright colors, but this side glance view of these pale yellow/green leaves caught my attention enough to stop.
