Images Imitate Life

We all have those days that start out bright and shining and before you know it the picture changes to more subdued, perhaps even sad. Such was the case today. As I passed an inviting autumn scene I could not help but pause to document the vibrant beauty. At home on the computer I then worked the image in my editor to more accurately reflect my morning mood of excitement for the unknown of what the day held using color and selective focus.

As sometimes happens, events occurring during the day were less than happy. All situations were out of my control and fortunately none included my family, but friends were affected. Being on the periphery of struggles and sadness takes a toll on a happy outlook. Fortunately faith and knowing tomorrow will be a fresh start helps to bring a close to an interesting day. My thoughts and prayers go to those impacted. May they too have a better day tomorrow.

This second image is a visual representation of a changing spirit like I had today. What once was bright is now… not so much.
