W.O.L.D.

“The bright good morning voice who’s heard but never seen…” Those lyrics, while technically the reverse of what I was experiencing, were going through my head as I rounded a bend in the road at Sweet Marsh this morning. An early sunrise lit the pretty woodland sunflowers in a way direct or overhead light cannot. So thrilled by the scene, I had to stop to photograph the inviting dawn of a new day.

Those who have circled the sun a number of times might remember W.O.L.D. was a song by Harry Chapin. Harry Chapin was more than just a singer/songwriter. He was a great storyteller with his messages put to music. I often think of his stories/songs during my situations. Sometimes his songs and my life include similar experiences, sometimes we don’t. Today all that I heard was “….a bright good morning….” and the inspiration began.
