Breaking News – Not COVID or Election

Who else, besides me, has had enough of COVID-19 and/or election coverage? How about I share other newsworthy information?

Headline #1 – With November 5 temperatures in the mid-70’s, I am still finding multiple bullfrogs and leopard frogs out enjoying the warmth. I looked hard to find turtles and snakes, but reptiles were not located today. I will continue searching for both. (I am not sure how late frogs are out, but this has to be close to the end of their active period.)

Headline #2 – Pied-billed grebes are still present on Indian Pond on the Wapsipinicon River. Neither bird sat still for long, but I was still able to photograph them. Grebes are such interesting little birds!
