Ring the Dinner Bell
After many days of bone-chilling cold, today almost reached double-digits above zero. Based on the avian and squirrel activity I watched and photographed, our wildlife appreciated the somewhat warmer conditions. All seemed very hungry and readily accepted my food offerings.
Squirrels and my backyard birds were constantly busy at the feeders. To date I continue to see only the common winter species.
During my travels later in the day, I noticed and photographed larger, more wild bird species. I am not sure what the bald eagle was focused on, but it was certainly intense in wherever it was going.

I am familiar with an area frequented by wild turkeys. When I first reached my destination there were no turkeys present. After waiting three or four minutes I spotted what appeared to be moving shadows deeper in the timber. I continued to watch as the wild turkeys moved in.
