Oh How Miserable
Imagine what our wildlife is enduring right now in Northeast Iowa. We went from cool, wet springtime weather to the heat and humidity of summer. On top of that, the irritating insect population has exploded.
Take a look at the flies on the nose of this whitetail deer doe. As I watched her, she was doing what she could to keep them off her, but the flies and I would guess the gnats were relentless. How does wildlife tolerate the bugs 24/7/365? Watching these three struggle with bugs almost made my skin crawl.
