Still Here and Monolith Mystery

Even with most of our still water converted to hard water (aka ice), the lone great blue heron I have been watching is still around. Apparently the bird moves to other areas to feed and then returns to its favorite log. Maybe this heron will stay all winter like one did last year? Maybe this is the same bird? If it is the same bird, is it possible it missed learning about migrating, even for short distances, when food becomes scarce?

Monolith Mysteries!
The mystery continues…first is was the monolith in Utah that “just” appeared and then disappeared. Now today, when I look closely at the waning gibbous moon, I noticed yet another monolith. How do they do it? (Of course this is a joke!)
