Sweet Marsh Sound and Color
Early this morning one of the parking areas at Sweet Marsh was almost noisy with birds calling. I am hesitant to use the word “noisy,” but don’t know how else to describe it. With so many birds calling at the same time, it was impossible to count the many different birds singing their songs. I recognized Baltimore orioles, yellow warblers, and common yellowthroats. At least a couple of others calls I had did not recognize, but when I saw the source of the calls I knew I had to try for photos.
Thankfully the birds moved around in a relatively small area. After a couple of hours I eventually had somewhat acceptable images recorded of an American redstart and an indigo bunting.
