Looking a Little Rough After the Rain and Drizzle

Today’s outdoor weather had a negative impact on the appearance of a hungry American krestel I found this afternoon. This poor bird looked haggard and hungry. Hopefully it found a meal or two to sustain it through the next few days of interesting weather.

Other observations from today included a young bald eagle in the fog and mist and a Canada goose on water.

From a scenic viewpoint, the colors of the mosses really stood out against the drab colors. Raindrops on the moss stems added a nice touch to the scene.
