Happy Thanksgiving!

Here we are, celebrating yet another Thanksgiving Day. For what it is worth, I try very hard to find something to be thankful for everyday, including during the trying times or challenging situations. I have been blessed in so many ways and for that I am very thankful.

Due to the holiday my time outdoors was limited. I did not see any wildlife and even scenic images proved elusive. What I did find were compositions that gave me something to ponder.

When I saw this ice forming I wondered how the patterns develop. I think it would be fun to record a time-lapse sequence documenting the development of ice.

Over the years I have photographed this lone oak tree in a field many times. Think of the stories the tree could tell – storms, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, wildlife passing by…oh the stories.

When I found these wild cucumber seeds I wondered how they became established. Another detail I questioned was how do vines like this reach out to connect with other plants? This too might make a good time-lapse video recording.
