Talking To the Animals, Watching the Animals
Tonight I visited the barred owl hangout I found a couple of weeks ago. I spent some time talking to them. It didn’t take long before they were flying overhead and I was enjoying the show. Unfortunately, thousands of gnats and hungry mosquitoes caused my outing to end quickly. I am not sure if the feathers are supposed to look so worn or if they actually are worn and due for replacement.
I saw two painted turtles crossing roads today. Both were moved to locations of safety.

While out I noticed this red admiral butterfly stopping on one dew-covered grass head after another.

Watch as you drive down the road for the yellow goatsbeard that is now in bloom just about everywhere.
Late last night I shot another picture of the green dragon plant I found. This shows the spadex very clearly.
