After The Storm

Yesterday we had near-blizzard conditions. Today the weather was sunny and calm, then cloudy and calm.

When conditions provide a break for wildlife, it is often easier than normal to see them out feeding. Sometimes they can be found in very open, exposed areas, contrary to their normal behavior.

While out today and without even looking, a rooster ring-necked pheasant and a couple of large herds of deer grabbed my attention. Seeing the wildlife was a fun treat during an otherwise busy day.
