More Winter Weather

Once again we are being challenged by severe winter weather. I must be honest, I am getting tired of it. The days of open water and wildflowers cannot come soon enough. I am guessing these cold waterfowl species on the Cedar River feel the same way.

A Public Service Announcement –

With the advent of automatic headlights, some people do not realize that it may be necessary to manual turn on their headlights under certain conditions – such as when driving in fog or in blowing snow conditions.

Please take a look at the following pictures. See how difficult it is to recognize an approaching vehicle. In the first two images, the motorist had only their parking lights on.

Do you think having headlights on makes it much easier for you to be seen? Think again (as shown in photos three and four).

If you want any chance of being seen by oncoming motorists, turn your headlights on!
