A Pause in the Rain = Something For Most
For just a few moments today I noticed the sky was brighter than it has been over the past few days. As one of many who has desperately been waiting for a period of dryness, I quickly headed out with my Nikon to try to capture a few split seconds in time from this October day. By the time I paused from my outing, I think I had recorded images that should interest just about anyone.
For the birders I shot pictures of sandhill cranes in a picked cornfield and great egrets in sheet water.

Finally, for the snake lovers out there, I had a brief encounter with a very nice looking garter snake. It was fun to watch it sampling the air while I was in its presence.
