A family member and I spent some time in Rochester, Minnesota today. Since medical tests and doctor consultations were hours apart, we spent time checking out area parks. We spent the most time at Silver Lake, a park known for its giant Canada goose population.
While I am a big fan of birds, I am not sure I would be a regular visitor of a park where goose droppings are everywhere. The “stuff” isn’t just in certain areas, but it is everywhere. As I dodged the messes, I did shoot some pictures of the newer hatchlings. It was fun to watch them marching in line behind their parents. Every now and then one would look off to the side at me.
